The scientific platform we use is that of artificial neural networks.

What are the neural networks?
In the scientific field they are currently considered the only unitary model for studying complex systems.
“Research conducted on the basis of such model has revealed that “natural phenomena, society, the economy, and communication all function in the same way, according to dynamic principles inherent to nature itself” (Strogatz, Odifreddi, Parisi).

In the context of visual arts, the use of this paradigm helps to realize dynamic expressive models by using natural language, which is placed underneath conventional linguistic systems.
Such language is called “sub-symbolic”, and presents the following characteristics:
- it can be understood by all individuals, regardless of their national, cultural, and educational differences;
- it allows to design artefacts and services capable to interact with the embodied mind of the observers;
- It develops a double code in the artwork in order to increase its attractive power;
- it contributes to the transformation of the components of any given product into artificial neurons, interconnected according to the framework of biological neurons.
